This project is the adaptive re-use of a row of three-storey State heritage listed former social housing buildings, located within The Rocks conservation precinct. The 27 apartments have been largely retained, celebrating the rich existing heritage and making way for light and ventilation. Small new additions at the rear take inspiration from the existing building’s alternation and symmetry, whilst being intentionally contemporary.
